About.

Designer, product lead, problem solver — and the person who stays involved until the product actually ships.

I design like I'm going to be the one using it.

I'm Mahmoud Al Tawekji, a Senior UI/UX Designer & Product Lead based in Hama, Syria. My work sits between product thinking, user experience and implementation.

I don't treat UI as decoration. I start by understanding the product, the users, the market and the business requirements. From there I move through research, visual exploration, flows, wireframes, UI, prototypes and developer handoff.

As a Product Lead, I also manage project workflows, coordinate developers, distribute tasks, review implementation quality and stay involved through testing and delivery.

DESIGN PROCESS

How I actually getfrom brief to ship.

Seven steps I keep coming back to. I bend the process depending on the project and the team, but this is how I move from a first conversation to a delivered product. Tap any step to open it.

I begin by understanding what the client is trying to build, who the product is for, and what problem it needs to solve. This usually starts with a conversation, requirements gathering and reviewing the market.

Client briefRequirementsMarket context

I search for comparable products, analyze competitors, study patterns and gather the information needed to understand the product space before making design decisions.

Competitor researchUX patternsProduct analysis

Before jumping into screens, I build visual references and explore design directions. I then discuss the strongest options with the client so we agree on the right direction early.

MoodboardVisual researchClient alignment

Once the direction is clear, I define user flows, information architecture and wireframes so the experience makes sense before visual polish begins.

User flowsInformation architectureWireframes

I turn the approved structure into polished interfaces, responsive layouts and reusable components while keeping usability, consistency and implementation in mind.

High-fidelity UIResponsive designDesign system

I connect key flows into prototypes, review interactions and validate important product journeys before development begins.

PrototypeInteraction reviewIteration

Depending on the project, I either deliver the design package to the client or work directly with developers. As a Product Lead, I coordinate frontend and backend work, review implementation, test the product and stay involved until final delivery.

Developer handoffImplementation reviewQA & testing

I keep looping back through reviews, developer conversations and testing, because nothing really ends at "delivered".
